May 4, 2011 – Rome, Italy - Marligo, the award winning Filipino designer and winner of the recent fashion competition in Rome met Noubikko yesterday during his short visit in the Holy City. Marligo did not waste time upon hearing Noubikko was in town and the two forged a business relationship.
While the two were sharing experiences in the fashion industry, Marligo discussed potentials of tying up their labes. The presence of press representatives who were with Noubikko perked up the publicity of the two immediately.
Noubikko was in route to Catania, Sicily to visit personal friend Giovanni Caloggero, Deputy member of the Italian Parliament.
Noubikko confirmed that he is interested with a project with Marligo as he called his publicist in US to prepare marketing plan that includes her. He said creating a collection line that bears both their names is a good idea. Marligo label with small letters below which writes Noubikko, a customary label of the designer to use like “Tomi by Noubikko”, “ARTMIlan for Noubikko”, and “PereZ for Noubikko” .
Noubikko said to Marligo that the increasing demand of made-in- Italy fashion line amid many influx of made in other countries with give them a challenge and more chance to enter the European market. Successful tie up is not far from us to achieve, he added.
